Caslon Mailer
Typographic Design

This is a type specimen advertising the Caslon typeface. One side of the mailer explains the history of the typeface, utilizing glyphs to create patterns, drawing the eye across the page. The reverse side of the mailer is a poster displaying the typeface. This side utilizes a quote from ‘93 Til Infinity, by the popular hip-hop group “Souls of Mischief”. The song was chosen to pay homage to the typeface’s creator, William Caslon, and his year of birth, 1693.
